Training center

Erasmus MC is the microsurgical training center in Europe, for both microscopic and exoscopic surgery. We run at least three courses yearly, in collaboration with the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies, and one in collaboration with the Arkansas Neuroscience Institute in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA.

The EANS microneurosurgery courses are the foremost microsurgical courses in Europe, with participants from all corners of the world. The step I module needs to be completed before the trainee can join the step II (or advanced) course. Faculty from all over Europe and the US, with a passion for teaching is present to guide trainees through the most advanced microsurgical training regimens.

See Faculty Skullbase course Rotterdam

The Skull Base course Rotterdam has been running for over 15 years and has become a staple of skull base courses in Europe. Together with prof. Ali Krisht from the Arkansas Neuroscience Institute in Little Rock, Arkanas, USA, microsurgery of cerebral aneurysms and complex skull base tumors is taught for all levels, from trainee, to department chair. This course has always received the highest feedback praise.
